Frenk Meeuwsen (NL) is a painter, illustrator, and comic author who blends European art tradition with Eastern philosophy. Educated at the Gerrit Rietveld Academy and the Rijksakademie in Amsterdam, he spent several years in Kyoto, where his fascination with Zen shaped his first graphic novel Zen Without a Master. His follow-up Year Zero (2020) explores identity, change, and mindfulness through striking black-and-white art. Meeuwsen’s work radiates calm energy and quiet depth.
