María Medem is a Spanish comic artist who began self-publishing her work after studying Fine Arts. For her comics, such as Cenit and Echos, she has won numerous awards, including the Best Newcomer Award at the Barcelona Comic Fair. Centrala also published the comic Cenit in Czech.

Her work has been featured in prestigious publications like The New Yorker and The New York Times, and she has collaborated with various musicians and producers.

Her latest comic, Por culpa de una Flor, was published in 2023 and has been translated into French and English.
